Cool decor, really warm service, excellent menu (esp when you want a change of pace from local fare), good music, all around great vibe.

Wandered in drawn by the 2 X 1 margarita special (get them!) and were warmly served by the French man who runs the place with his wife, mother- and sister-in-law. Chili Con Carne made by the mother-in-law was great! Varied and eclectic menu. Returned for margaritas and guacamole a few nights later and met the sweet mother-in-law. If it's cold, look for a table in the smaller front room with a fireplace. English spoken - not needed for us but some may find it useful.

This place is cheap! Wine was barely over the market value price, the appetizers were $4 and the mains were $7ish. And everything was delish! Plus they have live music, and while we were there on a Sunday night (not crowded), the staff and musician were lively and the experience was ideal.

We enjoyed dinner here but unfortunately couldn't stay for the music. I chose fajitas de arracherra because I have always liked arracherra, but this came with potatoes a provencal, along with a salad. French-Mexican fusion! The meat was a bit chewy but overall the meal was great. Too many Mexican meals, particularly in Oaxaca, come without anything green on the plate so this was a welcome change. My partner chose the vegetarian rice but had chicken added, and it was delicious. Ginger and some other spices made this a very appealing dish. We also had a crepa salada which was very good but so big we were unable to finish it. My only complaint is that the chairs were small, hard and uncomfortable.

The lasting impression was the amazing food, but the quirky decor are the perfect garnish. Definitely worth a visit :)
