Great management, very friendly, they also recommend culturally sensitive tours. Very hot showers and a nice fireplace. shame the "guard duck" had migrated for winter!

This place is phenomenal. I have been staying in hostels while traveling for a number of years, and Abuelito is one of the best. Lots of character, clean comfortable rooms, and a phenomenal location are some of the highlights. An enjoyable couple minutes of walking through beautiful San Cristobal brings your right into the heart of the city. The folks who work here are on point and they really want the guests to enjoy themselves. Unlike most free hostel breakfasts, this one is actually good food. The owners also have a restaurant called Kitcsh in the city center which is fantastic as well. It has a great patio in the back with BBQ ribs! All in all, I would highly recommend Abuelito if you are visiting San Cristobal.

A cozy atmosphere in a clean & comfortable hostel. I would recommend Posada Abuelito to anyone traveling to San Cristobal de las Casas.

- Free breakfast included: bagels, fruit & organic Chiapaneco Coffee!
- Free Wi-Fi signal in all rooms & fast.
- Hot showers, clean bathrooms.

Thanks to Rob & Rebecca, who made me very welcome and were helpful with travel info.

Room Tip: Dorms were 100 pesos per night. Included breakfast & internet access. Plenty of room, lockers wi...

We stayed there for a week in a private room. The rooms are very clean. The owners, an American couple, are very friendly and help you with everything you need. The garden is wonderful and they also have a kitchen. The breakfast is ok.

my huseband and i stayed in posada at the end of october for 4 days, but if we have more time we would stay longer :) it's really special place with great location(only 1o minutes walk to the city center), rooms are nice and clean, great managers Rebecca and Rob will do anything to make your stay unforgettable. You can also book all kind of tours and transfers there.
I really recommend this place, i can say it's best hostel i ever stay in.

The staff of this hostel is very very welcoming and tries to make your stay as pleasant as possible. When you get cold, there's a fire, when you wake up, there's coffee and breakfast, when you arrive there's a bed and when you want to socialize there's great great people. They know exactly how to attract the nicest people. It's such a great place to live!

Great welcoming by the managers of the hostel, feeling at home straight away, sitting in one of the comfortable hammocks in the pretty courtyard, drinking a cup of tea...
Impeccable rooms and facilities, nice hot water, good and fresh breakfast!
Couldn't find anything wrong about it, would definitely go back :-)
