Description: Excellent, tasty Mexican food of many types, including authentic Chiapaneca food. This restaurant is run by Zapatistas and there are several tiendas around the eating area selling products from Zapatista villages. Free WiFi, very good music (both live and recorded,) nice ambiance. The NY Times says it has a fixed price meal for $30 --- WRONG!! You can eat well for $ 10 and nearly as well for $ 7.00 USD.

This restaurant has a good and varied menu. The staff is very nice, but the service is rather slow. Personally, I could do without the whole Zapatista theme, but don't let it put you off. At this point, it is really mostly marketing. The mole was very good, and the children were happy with their pizza. The vibe of the place is relaxed and pleasant. It was probably the best place I found in San Cristobal. The prices are very reasonable.

The atmosphere here is the best, you sit in a covered posada, surrounded by co-operative shops. The service is excellent, attentitive and friendly, the menu has tonnes of options, and everything is tasty and very well-priced. Coffee is good, but try the frappuccino! The bathrooms have toilet seats. There are vegetarian options - vegan could be difficult, but probably not impossible.

I have been visiting this restaurant for many years and always an enjoyable place. It is very popular and can be very busy. Its a great spot to bring your laptop and browse the internet while enjoying a coffee or something from the large menu. You will never feel rushed even if you spend hours at a table, which many do . I dont find their comida corrida to be a great value but I find many other good items on their varied menu. Good value, good food, nice atmosphere.

There is a great selection of food in this restaurant that is fitted into a large, covered courtyard. We had the comida corrida (set menu) the first time and it worked out well. Portions were just nice, and food came out quickly. However, the second time all we ordered was a soup and a salad, and they must have forgotten our order because it took quite long (didn't help that we had to go back to hotel to catch a flight). But overall service is nice. The pizza by the slice we thought was average.

It is surrounded by artisan shops that support the EZLN cause. Even if you are not into the revolutionary stuff, they have nice handicraft for you to pick up.
