We truly enjoyed the local food in San Cristobal de Las Casas. However, we were wary of eating lettuce, tomatoes, anything that did not have a peel. Yearning for fresh greens, we stumbled onto La Casa de Pan and it became our staple restaurant every lunchtime after we had attended our
language classes. They had a beautiful buffet with soups, breads, main dishes with kale and other cooked greens, and desserts. The owner is a delightful woman who is welcoming and
kind. The staff was attentive and very friendly.
