The restaurant is a very pleasant place to sit for a meal. The large covered courtyard is buzzing with tables filled with hungry guests. The food was quite good. But for me the standout was a bowl of their simple chicken with rice soup. Served with a side dish of tomatoes, avacado, onions, and cilantro which are meant to be added to the hot soup, this often served as a nice light meal when I just didn't feel like another big meal.
A tip: If you come in the evening and there is a long wait for a table, ask about the seating in the "deli" at the back. We sat there a few times when we didn't want to wait and it was just fine.

Food was really delicious and surprising. You will see a picture of a guava mole and bananas. Wonderful courtyard. Good drinks. Packed as food delicious. Taste sensations with Oaxaca flair. Prices on low side.

La biznaga is a great restaurant in lovely surroundings. Sat in a cool courtyard surrounded by artisan shops La biznaga offers a selection of Oaxacan style snacks and meals that are very good. The main menu is extensive but all focused on good quality food.

We ate at La biznaga a couple of times. First time round for a mid afternoon snack and second time round for dinner. Both times it was very good.

The Chicken Tinga could easily be a main it's that sizeable. Fresh and tasty it more than tided me over until dinner.

Next time round I ordered strips of steak fried with onion and nopales (cactus) and my wife ordered the tuna. The tuna was beautifully cooked and very fresh. The steak, onion and cactus was somewhat like Fajitas but varied enough that it wasn't straight-up TexMex. All in all very good food.

A highlight of La biznaga for me is their selection of Mexican craft beer. They have a good selection of bottled and even draft Mexican craft beer and they're reasonably priced. The Red Big Mexican Ale stands out for me. Be sure to try it for yourself.

I had heard about this restaurant many times over from others and the dining experience was unique. We had lunch and ordered entradas( appetizers) and these made the meal. A unique blend of regional dishes with plating that was beautiful, pleasing courtyard seating, good service and reasonable cost given the quality.
