The owner of this B&B believes in customer service. Everything you desire is there, and the helpfulness of the staff evokes a lovely transparency that is missing in many B&Bs.
The open courtyard consists of a dining area and a large kitchen. Most of the rooms flank the courtyard. Up a flight of stairs is another room and a covered deck.
Location is one of the best amenities. The B&B is seven blocks from Zacatecas Cathedral and Plaza de Armas. Everything in historic Oaxaca is within walking distance. All this without paying the $$$ of the hotels in the district.
Maria is an unflappable host. She has lived in England and France and speaks the King's English and de Gaulle's French.
Great spot!

clean rooms, cute place, and Maria was so accommodating. the breakfasts were the best food we had in oaxaca, and we had some amazing food while there! the rooms were clean and well maintained, and everything about the place was very thoughtful. there's an honor bar and a guitar in the common area!

Lovely atmosphere, make you feel like home. Beautiful decoration, good accommodations and great staff in a very calm part of Oaxaca. Walking, you can see the all the good thing that this charming city offers.

I highly recommend this inn. It's near the heart of Oaxaca, the service is great and there are lots of nice touches such as a mescal-tasting area, a community kitchen and a dog named Bowie. It's not a budget option, but it's not expensive either.

If you want a clean, no frills place to lay your head at night, this is a good choice. We stayed in two different rooms, the best feature of which were comfortable, king sized beds. The room off the courtyard (Corazon) could be quite noisy, both from street noise as well as noise in the courtyard area when other guests were coming/going or hanging out. The upstairs room (Luna) was much better for quiet, privacy and airiness. Our favorite part of the stay was the breakfast, which was traditional Mexican and truly excellent.
