Casa de los Milagros B&B
Ranked #7 of 132 Oaxaca B&B and Inns
Reviewed March 20, 2013

Casa de los Milagros was our choice for our third week in Oaxaca. How lucky we were to be able to enjoy the peace and quiet of the establishment. Attention to artistic details throughout made us feel as if we were living in an art gallery. We found the staff at this 3 bedroom B&B to be very friendly and we enjoyed interacting with them. - particularly when they were serving the wonderful two course gourmet breakfasts!! Rene Arroyo, the owner and accredited Oaxacan guide, was on hand each morning to give us advice and assistance. We highly recommend Casa de los Milagros - truly a House of Miracles.

Room Tip: Ask for the bedroom on the main floor with the waterfall in the bathroom.

The way life should be in Oaxaca...After a long travel day from the U.S. we were welcomed warmly to Los Milagros with two cold Coronas. The B&B has only three lovely rooms so it felt more like a private home. The breakfasts were fabulous. The day tours offered by the owner, Renee, were beyond our expectation, particularly the demonstrations by local woodcarvers, weavers and potters. We never felt pressured to buy anything. Traveled to the extraordinary markets of Ocatlan and Tlacolula. Only downside was the street noise at night but it is manageable. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: El Cielo is quiet and private on 2nd floor.

We had a wonderful stay at Milagros. The breakfast was wonderful and Renee was so great to us he really made an effort to make us happy. He even checked us in to our flights online for us. I can't wait to stay there next time we are in Oaxaca.

You could not ask for a better place to explore Oaxaca from. Los Milagros, with its courtyard, comfortable rooms, rooftop terrace, and the attention to detail, is a jewel, a quiet oasis in the exciting historic district of Oaxaca. Even better, are the amazing breakfasts and support provided by the the staff, Ruffina and Christina. The owner, Rene, joined us each morning to provide insights into the culture of Oaxaca and support whatever individual adventures we had planned for the day. His tours of the markets and visits to studios of exceptional crafts people
in the central valleys were memorable Richard and Kim

Spent a week at this terrific little B&B. Wonderful ambience, very quiet, big roof deck for meditation or yoga, gorgeous breakfasts and the added bonus of Renee, the owner, who will take you on day trips to visit the best of the crafts people in nearby villages. You can't go wrong with this place.

Centrally located in the historic district, only a short walk to the Zocalo. Feels like home. Amazing breakfasts, wonderful staff and comfortable rooms. I highly recommend "Casa de los Milagros"! Adrianna and Renee do a wonderful job. The B&B is limited to only 3 rooms,so book early. Otherwise, there are 2 sister B&Bs-Bugambilas and Secreto, operated by the same family. One sister also operates a restaurant, La Olla, and a cooking school.

Room Tip: Any room is fine. Two upstairs and one down.
