We loved the place; the friendly staff, colorful surroundings, immaculate rooms and gardens and delicious food.

Room Tip: towards the back is quieter because it is not on the street

We spent Thanksgiving week in Oaxaca at La Casa de mis Recuerdos. It was an absolutely delightful week.Conchita made us feel right at home. The breakfasts were tipical Oaxacan breakfasts. Beautifully presented and absolutely delicious.
Nora arranged tours for us and also went on the tours with us.She is a wealth of knowledge of the history and culture of Oaxaca. One of the highlights of our trip was the cooking classes with Nora.We went to the market before the class and bought ingredients for our meal and learned all about the different chilies. We prepared the meal at Nora's home. It was absolutely fantastic . It was the best meal we had in Oaxaca.

Room Tip: We stayed in the room "Mamey" it was lovely.

I immediately felt at home after being greeted by Conchita and.....on arrival. The Casa is beautiful, centrally located, clean and very tranquil.  As many others have said the breakfasts are sensational,   Comchita advised she had enough recipes to have something different for a fortnight!

Suggestions for restaurants, tours and activities were happily given.  Without a doubt the best suggestion was Nora's cooking class.  It was definitely a highlight of Oaxacan visit.

I loved my stay so much I extended my time in Oaxaca

This is a delightful, family-owned B & B, where the gracious owners provide an authentic Oaxacan experience and truly go out of their way to accommodate their guests. The rooms are nicely decorated and a beautifully-presented breakfast is served daily by ladies in traditional costume. Each morning guests are greeted by a cheery table, laid with colorful, local weavings. After a fruit course, the main dish is served, which is varied every day and always a tasty surprise. The main public area is a central courtyard which drips with mature flowering vines, where one can hang out, or enjoy a margarita after a day of exploring the city. Book ahead. Casa de Mis Recuerdos is a popular place with many, many return guests.

This little bed and breakfast could not be better. It's in a great location(10-15 minute walk from Zocalo), beautiful accommodations, friendly owners and a most wonderful breakfast each morning. It's a little oasis. Loved it.

This is my second stay at Casa de Mis Recuerdos. We lucked out and managed to get a room only 4 weeks before Dia de Los Muertos.

It is a beautiful home in a great location. All of the family here is welcoming and kind and goes out of their way to be helpful.

The breakfast is delicious and so filling you can usually get by with just a taco or memelita for lunch.

We have also formed friendships over the breakfasts and margaritas prepared by Lorena in the evenings. After our first visit, we kept in touch with 3 people who stayed here at the same time, and this time we've met wonderful people as well.

Additionally, there is a real sense of community here, especially when you come during Dia de Los Muertos. There is a group of people who come every year. This group is welcoming and warm and remembered my mom and I from three years ago, even though we hadn't succeeded at staying in touch.

This time we are staying in Verde, one of two rooms that share a bathroom in the upstairs front of the house. There is a little street noise in the morning, but it works like a gentle alarm clock getting you up in time for breakfast. The rooms are basic in that they have a bed and dresser along with some nice art, but there are so many nooks and patios where you can cozy up when you need a break from exploring but don't want to lay down.

Finally, if you want tours/ activities, they can be a great resource for that. We've participated in a few and every time it was well organized and great fun. Also, if you don't want to participate, they will help you plan your own thing, such as finding the bus to indigenous market, getting a good rate on a taxi for the day, telling you a not-to-be-missed restaurant in the little village you plan on visiting, or introducing you to a painter who you can visit at her studio.

Room Tip: Verde and Alondra share a bath, but it is self-contained, not jack-and-jill style. Also, they provid...

We loved staying in this colourful Mexican home with its rich decorations and beautiful fragrant courtyards. Conchita's table settings and breakfasts were luxurous, tasty and healthy.

We stayed in the Colibri room which is on the ground floor and separate from the main house. It has its own courtyard which is also open to the busy kitchen.

As we don't speak Spanish, we appreciated William's excellent English.

We do not hesitate to recommend, and we would certainly stay again.

Room Tip: The Colibri room is spacious and on the ground floor.
