I've eaten many times at Chef Rudolfo Castellanos' wonderful restaurant and with few exceptions always found the food superb. He changes the menu regularly, offering seasonal vegetables and herbs. It's hard to point out a favorite as all his offerings are a wonderful blend of Oaxacan and continental flavors but I recommend the beet salad (enough for four to share) and the risotto. Recently the restaurant has been moved upstairs so that the ground floor kitchen can be devoted to a cooking school. The chef promises that the chairs upstairs will be more comfortable! I've started taking my house guests here first as they always want to come back not matter how short their visit to Oaxaca.
