We came to El Quinque on our last night in Oaxaca. We weren't feeling like a big or fancy meal and didn't want to change out of our day time clothes either. A few blocks north and west of El Domingo church, this is a small and casual place. The only place that sort of insisted on speaking to us in English - everywhere else I just used my Spanish. This is pretty simple food. We ate an incredibly tender, thin steak. My son's hamburger was incredibly good. I don't understand what made it that good. The sides and salads were just fine. The jamaica water and lemon water were complimentary. A bit hot upstairs so we waited for a table downstairs. Tasty and simple meal in Oaxaca.
