This is one of the most beautiful churches I've ever seen, belongs to the Dominican Order. Golden decoration from top to bottom (literally), so many details and so many flowers. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.

This enormous church has an extremely beautiful ceiling and interior decoration. There are paintings of biblical scenes and saints along the sidewalls, as well as side chapels.
It is a functional church, as are others in Oaxaca, and tourists should not visit while services are being held.
Adjoining the church is a museum of local history and botanical gardens.

The amount of gold in this temple is incredible! There are the usual tributes to saints, and some unique depictions surrounding the main alter. The Virgin Mary had her own chamber with depictions of Mary as the Virgin Bride, as well as the more traditional view.
