Cant beat this centrally located spot for ambiance. It's an open courtyard with retractable roof (opened for fireworks when we were there last night). All modern design with an upscale well-dressed crowd. The lobby had some Day of the Dead characters and there was one in a boat inside the pool of water inside the restaurant that gives you the feel of dining next to a lake. We had a series of appetizers priced at 75 pesos each that demonstrated the restaurants creativity with Oaxacan cuisine. The tortilla soup was a knockout. They allow smoking (at least in the small lounge) so if that's an issue than request a table elsewhere. Wine list started at 300 pesos.

WE ate here once and came back for more. The place is big n airy - the food delicious, We had tuna carpaccio, big salad with avo, nuts n apple, fish with dried mole crust, pasta with shrimp and bacon - all delicious. There is a diverse upmarket crowd here - we met some interesting people. We also sat in the sofa area one evening and had a few drinks. This was one of my favourite restaurants in Oaxaca. It felt very forward!

Shrimp and salad are the best, they give you a nice appetizer to start with and the service is always great. This time I had the flan and it was to goat cheesy for me. Otherwise from the first sniff of wine until we left we all loved the place. Atmosphere can not be beat.

unique design. Creative food. Not bad price. Better than the branch in Mexico City. Besy meal in a city known for food.

Our traveling companions were sufficiently impressed that they asked to join them on their second dinner visit in a week! After dark, the clever lighting highlights the art filled space which is sophisticated yet comfortable: we could have been in New York or Chicago in an upmarket arty bistro. The menu has a mix of updated Oaxacan classics, and they are executed competently. Portion size a little large for my taste which made it hard to enjoy all three courses. The friendly, charming staff was harried at times, and had to be reminded to bring our wine and cutlery, but overall, a very good dining experience. The duck tacos were a highlight for our table as was the dessert flan.
