We went on a week-day evening for dinner. The place was a little dark and too quiet. The menu is a fixed-price with several choices (my wife is vegetarian and had no problem finding good stuff to eat). The flavors were incredible. The mole is totally chocolate, etc. Very nicely surprised by Chef Ovadia's work.

Chef Ovadia culinary adventure has come full circle, back to its begining. It has taken back the great dishes that made Paxia a serious contender for the top spots in Mexican food in DF. Back are great dishes such as torta ahogada, escamoles and many other. Specially recommended are the Mojarra, a very popular fish in Mexico, that comes deboned, cooked sous vide and is fried for a cripsy shell right in your table.

If you ever felt disappointed at the changes in Paxia menu, visit it again. You'll be greatly pleased.

There are few times in which you come out of a place and wonder about the great experience you just had. By far, this has been one of such cases. It is surprising how creativity and the use of common ingredients found in many markets in Mexico can be mixed/combined in a way that delicious and incredible plates come to live. And not only that, traditional dishes are presented in new and extraordinary ways. The place is located in the San Angel area and has Parking and Valet Parking too. The site is spacious and comfortable: You are there to enjoy. The support staff is excellent, they strive on the service all the way through your dinner. The wine menu is very complete as well as other drinks such as traditional made beer. Since it was our first time, I chose the Tasting Menu option. Wow! Each dish ranging from the traditional 'Gordita' up to the Dessert was an exciting tasting adventure.
If this place continues in the same path they are today, this place has the potential to become one of the best places to dine not only in Mexico but in the World. I highly recommend this place.

I have been to Paxia twice in 3 months. Each time was a unique experience! The chef's creativity is second to none, and I love their artisan beer collection. The service and atmosphere is relaxing and comforting, and is a place anyone can come to enjoy a unique experience. Thank you!
