You have absolutely nailed it there - the vibe, the people, the food and everything a visitor could want at their fingertips in an idyllic setting - even the perfect DOG - made for the best B&B anywhere I have ever stayed. Thank you.

This place was great. We stayed here for over a week and loved it. It has a beautiful little courtyard, where they held happy hour every night with good wine. We got delicious breakfast and good advice on what to do from the staff each morning.

My wife and I just got back from five days at the Red Tree House. It is so good on every level that it almost defies adequate description. The rooms are wonderful. The facility is a lush and beautiful private oasis. Breakfasts in the morning were simply glorious... fresh fruit, fresh squeezed juice, fresh pastry, and great coffee every morning followed by a delicious entree that was different every day. Every evening, there is a social hour with wine and cold beer. The location in the Condesa neighborhood cannot be beat. There are so many unbelievable restaurants within five hundred yards of the hotel that one is tempted to never go any further. But, above all, the genuine and sincere helpfulness of their gracious staff is, without a doubt, the very best we have ever experienced at any hotel at any price point anywhere in the world. We will definitely be back to experience more of that wonderful and vibrant city and will never consider staying anywhere else, and we'll recommend the Red Tree House to any and all of our friends. Mind boggling!

My partner and I were there for 5 nights and honestly experienced the best customer service. It is in a great location (very safe) close to fantastic tacos and bars. We walked to most attractions. Jorge was so kind and helpful. He and Ernesto really seemed to care about guests having a wonderful experience in Mexico.
I would recommend this place to anyone going to Mexico city. The rooms are lovely, the free breakfast is fantastic (good coffee too), and there are some free beers/wine at night. I've stayed in many places around the world and this one is by far the best!

My daughter and I stayed @ the "House" during Thanksgiving week. We were wondering what to do for Thanksgiving. When we checked in, there was a flyer in the room inviting us to Thanksgiving dinner right there. The Thanksgiving dinner was delicious: tables set with china, crystal, cloth napkins, free-flowing wine, mescal, beer etc. Turkey, dressing, mashed potatos, sweet potatos, green beans, desert. What a treat!
We stayed in a room with 2 queen-sized beds which were very comfortable, soft linens, lots of pillows. Our room overlooked the small courtyard with fountains, seating and many plants. People congregate there in the evenings when the weather is nice for "wine & beer" which is served by the owner every night between 6-8 p.m.
We found the staff extremely helpful and courteous. Someone is on-site 24/7. The breakfast every morning is varied and delicious as well. You can have the standard fresh fruit, juice, cereal and coffee, or you can have a freshly prepared "Mexican" dish such as fresh enchiladas with mole and many other interesting, tasty entrees!
I felt truly "at home" in this very special, friendly, clean, and convenient B&B. The Condessa neighborhood has many, many little shops, cafes, restaurants, green space and most of all: lots of beautiful dogs are everywhere with their owners! I was having "withdrawal" from my Boxer back home and was able to pet so many beautiful, friendly dogs that are in the neighborhood as my pet therapy fix. The architecture in the neighborhood is AMAZING. Art Deco, Mid Century Modern, Bauhaus, you name it. Unbelieveably interesting and intact buildings everywhere you look.
Sites to see were: Kahlo House, Trotsky House, Museum of Anthropology, many historic districts. We used taxis, which are inexpensive. The drivers most times didn't know where they were going so it helps to have a map with you.
What else can I say? I hope I haven't left anything important out. What a treat. Only a 2 hour flight for us, we will be going back!
Thanks to all of the staff who took such good care of us.

Room Tip: we stayed in a corner room, first floor

We stayed at the Red Tree House for 2 nights in November 2013. As owners of an accommodation business ourselves we have a pretty good idea about what makes a great accommodation experience. We had looked at the other great reviews and the Red Tree House certainly lived up to our expectations. A beautiful property in a lovely part of Mexico City with unbeatable attention to detail and an unbeatable focus on great customer service. Would we stay there again? Absolutely. Would we recommend it to others? Absolutely.

We had a great stay at the The Red Tree House. We went to Mexico City to renew our visa and we stayed one night there. It was like staying with family. We arrived early in the morning and Victor offered us full breakfast and helped us with our lauggage. He gave us all the information that we needed to go to the US Embassy and to go for shopping. We really enjoy our stay and we will come back soon! They treat us like family and our room was very clean and comfortable. We found a great restaurant from Baja California close to the hotel and we had a great lunch there. It is Merotoro and it is located in 204 Amsterdam Ave. We highly recommend The Red Tree House because it is in a safe neighborhood close to all the city attractions and the staff is the best. Thanks to Victor, Jorge and Ernesto.
