“Peek inside- you don't have to eat there”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 9, 2013

We wanted to see the inside of the House of Tiles, but because of a prior bad experience with the food, we didn't want to eat there. We entered through the gift shop and went inside. No one seemed troubled- probably happens often. The inside is just as amazing as the outside. Be sure to look up at the murals.

“Small but charming. Filled with fantastic tales.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 12, 2013

Good chocolat and cafe. The building as well as the current owners, Sanborns, are filled with old and fantastic stories, dating from early last century. It is a must.

“Mexican tradition”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 6, 2013

For many Mexicans this is a favorite family restaurant, perhaps an equivalent to a Mexican dinner, in a good way. For me its a favorite every time I visit mexico.

“Great location, predictable food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 19, 2013

Do not go to this restaurant for the food, it is pretty much what you can expect from a chain. Decent but far from exceptional. And you won't get sick.
Do go for the location. The Casa de los Azulejos is a beautiful, history-filled,building and this makes it a must stop while visiting the Centro.
