“The good things are expensive, sad but true.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 13, 2014

This is a very good and different restaurant, the flavors always gonna be a new experience. Enrique Olvera (The Chef) knows every little thing about his kitchen to give you another way to taste mexican food.
I am mexican and I really like this new concept and the new ideas for presenting the food.
If you have the money I really recommend this experience.

“I compare it to Tracey Emins My Bed.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 12, 2014

When I was in my early 20s I lived in London. I tried to be into the “art” scene as much as I could. More like a spectator than anything else. Being shy relegated me to try to understand everything from a distance. Never truly feeling like “in” more like “out looking in”.

In that time there was this famous work of art by a British artist call Tracey Emin – My Bed. The artist showed her own bed in all its embarrassing, somewhat awkward, glory. Cigarette butts, stained sheets, empty booze bottles, worn panties, the bloody… You get the idea. I found myself in Saatchy gallery looking at this piece of art trying very hard to like it. Everyone around me was at salivating in admiration. So I tried to convince myself I enjoyed it too. Even when deep inside I felt like a fool for doing so.

This is the same feeling I had at Pujol.

You hear all this great things about it. Everyone tells you how good it is. The famous top 50 list! Celebrities. I mean Bono was there!!

But then you start living this experience. You are excited. Fist dish… not so good. Not to worry, you tell yourself, the second will be amazing. Then the second comes… Not to worry the third one will blow my mind and create an fussy good feeling in my mouth… Not so good. Then the third…. You get the idea.

I did not like it. I believe its over rated. Pricy, VERY PRICY.

“Mexican best modern "old fashion" food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 11, 2014

Chef Olvera takes you in each of the 8 or 9 dishes (depending on the type of tasting menu you try) to a sensitive experience of flavors, aromas and memories. The service is attentive and discrete; the wine list is one of the best in Mexican wines. You need to taste some of them, as you will never find them outside Mexico due to a reduced production. Ask the sommelier and he will suggest the appropriate wine to pair the food. Do you like beer? Pujol also has some fantastic Mexican artisan beers. Make a reservation in advance as usually is full for lunch and dinner. Enjoy!

Great tasting experience. Flavors that had never been experienced before. The restaurant is simple but very nice.

“Very good restaurant, probably the best in Mexico City but to pricy”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 11, 2014

I used to be a very frequent customer when the restaurant started. The food and service were exceptional. Little by little the prices having been increasing and the food has become more "eclectic", more "molecular" with much smaller portions. I like the creativeness but I think it's become excessive. Now the prices are unpayable (for me) and truly not worth the expense. I'm sorry to say I haven't been to the restaurant in a year or so.
