“You know its good, read about what NOT to miss:”
Reviewed December 12, 2012

No need for another review on how good this place is. Instead I want to share what NOT to miss when you have breakfast here:

Start with fresh Tangerine juice... then some "pan dulce" (sweet pastries) that you will dip on your hot chocolate, made at your table. For the actual breakfast try the "Aporreado con huevo", a Michoacan traditional dish made of shreaded steak and eggs or the "Gorditas Hidalguenses", a corn based thick tortilla with beans sauce and cheese.

If you dont want to follow any recommendations, just use the "finger rule". Point your finger at any random item in the menu, and you will have a winner.... every dish is VERY good!

“Excellent choice for any meal”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

Early mornings are bustling with activity in this very busy Restaurant. Reservations are taken only before 10:00 a.m. after this it is first come first served basis. It is a wonderful choice for Breakfast with a vast menu at very reasonable prices.
Try the Chocolate caliente, the regional "Pan Dulce" and do not forget the "Nata" to dip in the bread. Their juices are freshly squeezed and flavorful. The entire breakfast menu is delicious!

This restaurant is always busy-and with good reason. Wonderful Mexican food, with a large variety. The escamole was fantastic!

“Traditional central-mexico food at its best”
Reviewed August 26, 2012

If you're not from central Mexico, this is definitely the place to try traditional food from the region because it is mexican food at gourmet level. Forget burritos and rubbish of the sort. For breakfast, start with hot chocolate and fresh bread with "nata", fruit, and then the main dish, everything looks fine but avoid lamb at all costs. "Quesadillas de cuitlacoche" with green sauce are a must! The crowd is a blend of tourists and locals. Mexicans love this place, even though you can find cheaper food elsewhere. However, in my case, the quality is so good, that reminds me of my holydays in the countryside with my grandparents.
