This restaurant is always busy-and with good reason. Wonderful Mexican food, with a large variety. The escamole was fantastic!

this one really lives up to it's reputation. Excellent food and even better service at a very reasonable price!

If you're not from central Mexico, this is definitely the place to try traditional food from the region because it is mexican food at gourmet level. Forget burritos and rubbish of the sort. For breakfast, start with hot chocolate and fresh bread with "nata", fruit, and then the main dish, everything looks fine but avoid lamb at all costs. "Quesadillas de cuitlacoche" with green sauce are a must! The crowd is a blend of tourists and locals. Mexicans love this place, even though you can find cheaper food elsewhere. However, in my case, the quality is so good, that reminds me of my holydays in the countryside with my grandparents.

The very best place for an authentic Mexican breakfast/brunch in Mexico City. Both the Palmas or downtown locations are great. Highly recommend the hot chocolate and Mexican danish as a starter (ask for the fig danish or "conchas", my personal favorites). Feel free to explore a variety of delicacies from pumpkin blossoms, huitlacoche, nopales and the endless variety of the Mexican cuisine. Get there early or be patient, as it is usually very crowded during the weekends. A good option for a business breakfast too.
