Totally recommend this tour. It was really enlightening getting to learn about the background of the graffiti culture and the ties to the local politics and urban development. One of the best parts of my trip to Mexico City!
Jocan, our tour guide, was really friendly and knowledgable, and we really appreciated his insight.
It's about a 2.5 walking hour tour starting near to Zocalo, with the chance to stop for a coffee and possibly taco if you like. We walked throughout the downtown area, and finally ended up at a local school where we had to practice our own graffiti skills :)
It always felt very safe, and given the sunny weather we had it was great to be outside walking around, particularly given that it was in areas we wouldn't normally have gone through. The street art and graffiti itself was really impressive, and often quite thought provoking.
As an art walk, this can't be beat, and I'd recommend it to anyone passing through Mexico that wants to learn more about the local culture and art scene.
