Holiday Inn Express Mexico Reforma
Ranked #108 of 312 Hotels in Mexico City
Reviewed July 21, 2014

I was in Mexico City for business and stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Reforma based on input from Colleagues. The location of the hotel is excellent for shopping and many US restaurants (Chili's to PF Chang) are right next door. The hotel is modern and well located, the breakfast in the morning was okay for me.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms Away from the elevators

The Holiday Inn is a good choice if you are looking for a business hotel, close to the main offices and with a fair price.
The breakfast is really good and the rooms are huge.
There is great options of restaurents nearby and some shopping malls as well.

Room Tip: There is no wrong room in my opinion, as you are not in an area with active night life (parties).

they change rates over our reservation, they say rates change every day based on occupancy, so my invoice was very different from my original reservation. 3 rooms 5 nights, next year stay will go to other hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 days, the location is great, close to everything. Our room was a standard room, no view but we did not plan to stay in our room during this trip. The beds at first seemed hard, but we actually were surprisingly happy with them at the end. Everything literally was within walking distance so bring some comfortable shoes. The staff was great, very accommodating and willing to assist in anything. The free wifi was great! It actually worked too! We were able to share our adventure with family and friends. The complimentary breakfast was ok, needed some work, but it was a great start to our day. Everything about Mexico City, the culture, the food, the people.. Amazing! Enjoy it! Oh!! I must also include that we traveled just about everywhere, Xochimilco, Zocalo and Teotihuacan, via the Metro and taxi and felt perfectly safe. No worries. Just take the same precautions you would take in the states and you will be fine.

Room Tip: You will only use the room to sleep.

I have been trying to reach a guest all day, missed connecting because the hotel staff is too lazy to take a message. The hotel guest is out please call later. This is sad. This is a basic task of a business hotel.

Price wise, comfortable and quite rooms !
very quite and a good sleep.

beds are regular (bad mattrasses).

allthough standard express Holiday Inn express is included : do have breakfast outside (f.e. in the centro histórico) , when you are on vacation . they are MUCH better (and economical).

a good location for you toors towards Zocalo, Zona Rosa / Condesa ... and even if you go to Coyocan / San Angel... - just a taxi ride away.

Stayed here for 4 nights and was very happy with the stay. Check in was easy and the front desk always spoke enough English to help out with any questions. The location right next to the mall was great. Easy to get a taxi and food. The beds were a bit hard, but they have been every time I've stayed in Mexico. Everything was clean and in good condition. Room is well insulated as I never heard any noise from the next rooms or from outside and my room faced the street. The only real complaint I have is the gym. It's fine if you only want a treadmill, but anything more than that is not so great. No free weights and the weight machine didn't allow me to do most exercises I enjoy. Breakfast was also good, especially for the price of free. There are pastries, eggs, bacon, toast, fruit, etc. I was very happy with it. I would definitely stay at this hotel again!
