We went twice to Temporal. The first time we loved the cool jazz music, the attentive service, the really nice atmosphere…and the food. We sat next to a large open window and watched the people go by. We ordered small plates both times, and they were really interesting and innovative. Who would have thought to combine watermelon, fish, fennel, and pistachios? We tried two different mescal cocktails and both were great; one with kiwi, the other with red fruits. The bread came with a sweetish fruit based salsa and a deceptively hot green one. We went back because so many restaurants were blaring bad pop music, and this was an oasis of civilization. We also had risotto with spinach and clams, and a kind of pot pie thing with potatoes. All good. And the best of all: creme brûlée with cherries and a chocolate straw. Just fabulous!
