“Fantastic Hotel”
Reviewed May 4, 2014

Le Meridien was VERY nice. We booked about a month in advance, did not the nonrefundable option and got a fantastic rate, so I didn't have high expectations. We checked in late, around 10:30 PM or so as our flight got in late. The staff were very helpful and checked us in quickly and efficiently so we could get to bed after the long trip. Hotel room was HUGE. We had a lounge area and then a bedroom area with a great bathroom. The view from the bedroom was facing another hotel so it wasn't spectacular but the view from the lounge was of the Museo de la Revolucion which lights up at night so is just gorgeous. Our room was made up and cleaned daily and we were given bottled water every day which was great. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful-we had a tour coming early so they made sure to tell us when it came. The restaurant looked nice although we didn't eat there. The cappucino from there was AWESOME. Wifi in room is an extra charge but there is a business center with free wifi so that's really all you need. Location is great, slightly outside the Zona Rosa right on the Av de la Reforma and very safe. It's a lovely walk to Chapultepec Park (3 miles or so) and you get a nice taste of the city. Would recommend over and over. Thanks for a great stay!

Room Tip: Get a room facing the Museo de la Revolucion...it's awesome to see all lit up, though I can imag...

Fantastic location in the in the heart of the city’s business and cultural district. The service is impeccable from the front desk, concierge and maid service. Really impressed with the modern, fully equipped gym and indoor pool. Room service was incredible! I enjoyed my stay and highly recommend this hotel!

We have been to Mexico City several times and have stayed in very nice hotels. We decided to try Le Meridien as it had very high ratings and great reviews. We were not disappointed. Hotel is in a great location--an easy 20 min walk to both the Zona Rosa and to the Zocalo/Bellas Artes. There were also several restaurants, coffee shops, convenience stores, and banks surrounding hotel.

Staff was very friendly and welcoming.

Our room was great--much more than what I expected. We spent a full week at the hotel and we appreciated the separate living room, the two TV's, the table and chairs, mini fridge and microwave, and the spacious bathroom and bedroom areas.

The hotel has a very nice exercise room and the pool is VERY warm. I loved it!
There is also a 24 hour business center.

We did eat at the restaurant on site and it was very good. Restaurant staff was very friendly.

I appreciated the fresh water bottles in the room everyday and housekeeping staff also comes around at night to see if you need anything.

Only hiccup we had was when we made reservation (thru 3rd party site) we were supposed to have free Internet in room. Hotel did not honor it. We did pay for hourly access and it was supposed to let us connect up to 3 devices but they charged us for each one. Also we never got a full 60 min before we were cut off. The cost per hour was pretty nominal (15 pesos) so it wasn't a big deal.

Also a word of caution, the hotel taxis are much more expensive than street taxis. (Anywhere from 2-5x more for the same distance). Hotel taxis are much nicer and usually bigger, but for budget-minded travelers, the street taxis are just as good and it's very easy to hail one on Paseo de la Reforma in front of the hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for view of the Monument of the Revolution...lit up at night it's beautiful!

Great staff, very moden and big room (it's actually more of an apartment than a regular hotel room as it used to be an Embassy Suites). The gym is good allowing a complete workout, and the indoor pool adds even more to it. Overall, I now stay here every time I go to Mexico.

Staid at Le Meridien for a business trip to Mexico City. The hotel has good rooms in a central location next to Reforma road ... allowing for an easy walk around the central key road. Nothing too bad to be said; but hotel restaurant is a little bit of a let down, while the pool and fitness room in the basement are a little bit of a let down given overall expectations (we went for dinner to Four Seasons instead ... 15 min slow walk and much better at little extra cost).

Unfortunately the hotel's internet still seems to have some problems (as pointed out elsewhere) ... it's ok access isn't free (a hassle but normal for corporate hotels?) but at least I would expect to be able to log on without problems to work from my room. Still, overall a good hotel with mostly very friendly helpful staff.

Room Tip: Ask for a high)up room facing the main street. Most rooms don't have a great view given the stru...
