This mural is amazing. This entire area around Alameda Park is so full of history and this mural brings it all to life. It is great to take a little time to see the mural and read the stories behind the people featured. It will change the way you view the park when you leave the museum. fascinating. Diego was a brilliant artist.

“One Amazing Mural”
Reviewed August 4, 2014

This is a small museum at one end of the Alameda Central. It has paintings by Rivera and others, but the highlight is the mural that was rescued from an earthquake-damaged hotel. It's one of Rivera's best, and the scene actually takes place at a fountain in the Alameda Central that you can walk to.

“Thought provoking exhibit.”
Reviewed July 31, 2014 via mobile

I thoroughly enjoyed viewing the murals painted by Diego Rivera. I found them to be historically interesting and facinating in his choice of color and style. My art culture typically consists of knowing what I dislike, and I liked Diego's creation. These are important murals that should be viewed by everyone on a to visit Mexico City.

“Slightly disappointing”
Reviewed July 13, 2014

costs 19 pesos to get in.

Disappointing because there is only 1 mural. It is a very large piece though and there is a sign in English that explains who all the various people are.

Just east of Palacio de Bellas Artes.

“Only one piece - and it's amazing”

Pull up or print out info on this painting before you go. Sit down in front of the painting, pull out your information and start reading. You can easily spend an hour or more looking through the details of the painting and all of the "characters" Diego drew. You can also buy a 20 peso guide, which is helpful. If you know anything about Mexican history, this painting will be SUPER interesting to you. Go! And then take a walk through actual Alameda Park
