The overall experience at the Bresca restaurant in Mexico City was a bit disappointing.
The place is nice and the service is good, yet for such a pretentious atmosphere and high prices, the fact that some of the dishes did not feel at all as being top quality ingredients was, from my humble opinion, unacceptable.
Nouvelle cuisine sized portions look as if the chef was much more concentrated on how his dishes look than how they actually taste, and the wine list, even if extensive and full of pompous bottles, does not offer any affordable options, as if no real work of selection was made beyond the price tag.
If a restaurant presents itself as if they were the top of the notch, and charge you like they are, expectations go up really high, and the Bresca was far from fulfill such expectancy.
