“Nice place!”
Reviewed May 14, 2013

Went there couple of nights ago with coworkers. It was my first time in this bar and had a blast. The DJ had house music all the time which made our stay there very enjoyable and chilled. I had Sopa de Castañas and Pollo en Pepitoria, first time trying any of those items and I love them! The fried calamardi was just ok as was the cosmopolitan I ordered. Love the roof of the place and the service was excellent.

“Reasonably priced champagne & cava, fancier take on the Barcelona Original”
Reviewed August 21, 2012

I have been here serveral times, most recently in August 2012. It is mainly a bar I would say, with the order of the day being it's very reasonably priced botles of champagne, cava, labrusco and other sparkling wines. Depends on what you want but a bottle can be as cheap as 250 pesos and it is not bad quality at all. They also feature Spanish tapas, plates like serrano hams with varied cheeses, tortillas españolas, etc., which all seem to be prepared knowingly. They seem to be trying to recreate the experience of going to Barcelona's incredible Xampanyet. I would say this place is a bit fancier but that doesn't mean it isn't fun. I especially like tha tht emusic isn't ear-splittingly loud, facilitating conversation. It seems to be especially popular for drinks prior to going to a club/anthro, as it seems to be very mellow until about 11, then it fills up, and then arond 1230 it settles down again. This is a good choice if you are looking for fun drinks with friends in a more adult atmosphere than many other bars in La Condesa, and the food is good too.
