Every time we are in Mexico City we stop-in for anything from a cup of coffee, to a pizza, or a full meal; and on the way out we pick-up a baguette from the bakery counter. A few years back the owners replaced the old Petit Cluny with this Trattoria. Lost is the charm of having a meal with your neighbor's elbow in your side as if you are having a meal in an Osaka subway at rush hour. But the new place has the same great food. This time around we started with a thin crust Pizza Tutti Formagi and Carciofi Alla Romana and a plate of Caprese. Each of these is sized to be shared (tapas size) by two or four persons. We were four at the table so we shared all three and made for a perfect opener. For the main plate a chose Tonno Alla Pescatora - amazing. It brought memories of broths i imbibed as a child in the Danube Delta. But the ingredients are truly Mediterranean and it comes with home-style gnocchi. We were back the next morning for some coffee and to pick up half-a-dozen fresh baguettes.
