I visited Maja last weekend, after reading good reviews. They have a good wine list (ordered an excellent mid-priced Mexican). The menu is appealing, and we decided to order a bunch of small dishes to share. The manchego was great, and the solomillo tapas were excellent. The serrano was regular, could have done without it...However, the simplest dish was the best by far: the patatas bravas. Delicious, just the right amount of sauce, tender, almost sweet, potatos...Another hit was the dessert. We ordered the torrejas; simple, but delicious. All in all, a great place. Just please, pay attention to the music, it was awful pop that does not go at all with the style of the place!

The service was great, the lady was very helpful as we did not speak spanish and translated the whole menu to us. The decoration is awesome and finally the food is amazing. One of the best tapas, better than the best ones of Barcelona - montaditos, patatas bravas, chorizos are great. Best of the best!

Maja feels like an upscale NY restaurant! Its decoration is great, having been built inside a protected historical house in Roma neighborhood in Mexico City.

The food is great: I recommend the Montadito Cabrales and Pimientos Rellenos as starters, the Gaspacho and Lentil Soup if you'd like soup, and the Shrimp or Chuleton as an entree.
