“Simply Outstanding!”
Reviewed September 22, 2012 via mobile

We had one of the best Spanish meals in years. My mother is from Spain and she would definitely be envious about the cuisine, exceptional. Try the croquetas as an appetizer, chorizo and solomillo. My wife had Txipirones and I had the lamb chops as an entre and the flavour was fantastic. The place itself has a great ambience that goes with the resurgance of the "La Roma" and "Condesa" areas. Service, like almost in every restaurant in Mexico, was excellent. In terms of wines we went for the cheapest on the list from Mexico, Argentina and Chile, and unless you are a connosieur they will work perfectly with the food. All in all, highly recommendable.

“Fantastic food with a great wine list”
Reviewed August 21, 2012 via mobile

When travelling, what a joy it is to find a restaurant with warm service and world class food . We enjoyed our meal immensely, ordering 5 dishes to share rather than the traditional appetiser and mains. With our poor Spanish, the friendly staff talked us through the dishes and made us feel welcome. With Mexican, Chilean and Spanish wines the list complemented the menu. I would be happy to recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a well presented delicious food in a stylish dining room.

“Great Spanish Food and atmosphere!”
Reviewed July 14, 2012

Had dinner with friends this week at Maja and experience was awesome.
Virtually all dishes (tapas and main course) was unbelievable tasty and delicious, classic Spanish food seasoned with extra charm and good taste.
I strongly recommend the "tortilla de patatas", squids (amazing) and ham (bellotero) for start. Main dishes seems quite dynamic, so simply pick your choice from the day recommendations.
We enjoy a good mix of Spanish wines (Ribera del Duero remain being my favorites), all of them quite good with excellent "maridaje" with the food.
The place is built in a renewed old-house in Roma Norte (few blocks from Condesa), nice environment which allow to have good conversation and fun with friends.
Highly recommended!

“THE new place to be in mexico city”
Reviewed July 13, 2012 via mobile

Loved this place where after enjoying the contrast of modern and classic architecture, enjoying the delicious spanish food, I started with wine and talk with friends which later escalated to carajillos then to drinks, in what was a great day that I enjoyed and had a lot of fun.
