THIS PLACE IS THE WORST EVER! When you pay 40 a night at a dive hotel you expect bad, but the Camino Real? This portrayed as a nice upscale hotel but it really is a old sow pig in a fancy dress. Carpet old wrinkled and coming up, walls damaged, plywood ramps that are rotted out and by Far Overpriced... 295 pesos (24.00 US) extra for 24 hrs. of internet???? Good but way overpriced breakfast buffet 268 pesos.... Just run to the next hotels they all have shuttles! The checkin process was 1 hour and 15 minutes... Room is decent but that's it... well except for the cockroaches....

Room Tip: Go to another hotel!

This is an old facility that was not great even when it was new; feels dirty and rundown.
Of course it's 3 minutes away from the gates, but so are other hotels.
most annoying is very slow check-in and check-out process; got there at 1030pm and waited for more than 40 minutes to get a room, if you have an early flight make sure you pay the night before.
Food options are good and bar is fun.

Room Tip: there are no better rooms, don't even bother

As a frequent business traveler to Mexico City, I thought I would try staying at the airport for my early morning flight out and should have just taken a cab. The room was dirty and I found the hotel generally a bit run down. It's just old and the walkway to the airport terminal is its only good feature. There are other options around that I suggest you look at fist.

Great service, staff is efficient and professional!
Facilities are awesome.
Bed and linens need a special mention, super comfy, you will have a good sleep.
Rooms are small.
I did not like that I have to pay extra for wifi! Since is a high class hotel!
I also found very helpful that you can leave our luggage while you travel, but something weird happen to my bag, they broke the handle and some other damage! And I'm pretty sure it was good when I left it there.

I have been in this hotel a few times now, and the general judgement is ok. However I have not experienced a consistent level of quality. Once there was some renovation work going on and I got a room that was too close to "the action", resulting in a noisy night.
Last time, a few days ago, there was no Wifi signal in the room I was given. At the reception they were not very helpful, saying that there was no other rooms available and that I had to pay anyway, even if I was going to be able to connect to the Internet only from the lobby. At those room rates, I would expect the Wifi to be free.
A little hint: if you arrive here straight from Terminal 2 at the airport, it is better to do the check-in at the little office the hotel has in the airport. You will skip the long queue at the main reception and you get the shuttle bus straight to the door of the hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the elevators

For $150, it would have been ok, except that the property is dated. Three lightbulbs were out in my room, the carpet needed a good cleaning, hairs were on the carpet, I am not positive that the sheets were fresh. The bathtub needed a good caulking. The walls in the halls atrium needed cleaning or paint. Not recommended.

Room Tip: Stay at a different hotel.

What makes this place great is the location. If you have an early flight or have a short overnight between flights, this is the place. Walk to the airport (it can be a long walk to some of the distant corners of the airport), but convenient all the same. No cab rides, no money hassle. The rooms are nice and clean. A small desk for convenience in the rooms. The rooms are a bit tight, but the price is very reasonable for a hotel attached to the airport. Internet requires a password from the business office or the front desk and paid by the hour or 24h.

Room Tip: this is a huge hotel, many many many rooms.
