“Great company to see Mexico with”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 24, 2013

Mexitours handled our 6 night stay in Mexico City and thereby all the day tours in the city and surrounding areas. Cannot praise them highly enough. Only on one day were they 10 minutes late - this a feat in itself given the madness of the traffic. Their transport was clean and comfortable and most importantly their guides were exceptional. They were knowledgeable about their subject, keen to make sure our day went right and most importantly -fun to be with. Even to the extent that on one tour where we were the only English in a group of 32 Spaniards, the guide still found the time and patience to deliver the detail in both languages. All this at a very affordable price. We loved our time in Mexico City in no small way because Mexitours made our stay so great.

“Good transport, not so much guide”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 26, 2013 via mobile

Went with mexitour for mexican wrestling match. Honestly, could of easily done it on our own....

Guide arrived 40mins late (we weren't that concerned as its pretty standard in Mexico, don't stress! Be prepared for laid back attitude). We thought there would be others but ended up being a private car which was fine

Guide was also driver, was only a 10min drive so not a problem. Gave us our "Mexican wrestling maks" which were awesome.

We were supposed to get an overall guide to rules, what goes on & how it all works. However, we were given tickets & brief explanation how to access seats & pick up spot. We were a little confused but managed to get in & experience the Lucha libre!

Got picked up & dropped off promptly which was great

Overall service was fine. However, more like a driver service with a tiny brief over view, predominately most time spent on ticket logistics.
In futures would recommend getting own transport & ticket there ad was pretty simple

However, was excellent to have a car waiting as it was pouring down! Felt it was more of a transport option versus tour...

“Avoid if possible”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 16, 2012

Really a cookie-cutter tour company; the guide said very little, and most of what he said one could simply read on one of the signs at the attractions. In fact, dring the drive the guide really couldn't say much, since he was also the driver (I guess to save money ) -- and driving in Mexico you can't easily multi-task.
The tour advertised that it included admission charges, but at one of the attractions the price had gone up, so the guide declared that we had to skip it. The guide also suggested that we return as early as possible, since it would make it easier to beat traffic going back to the city.

“Do not use - refused to honour an online booking (paid in full)”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2012

I booked with Mexitours in November 2011, for a hot air balloon flight over the Teotihuacan pyramids in February 2012. However, when contacting Mexitours to confirm the pick up time in February 2012, they denied all knowledge of the booking - which was paid in full three months prior. During several phone calls, Mexitour staff were also rude and decided the end the phone call by hanging up on me. Their 'emergency' mobile phone number was also no assistance, with the mobile phone being turned off. Avoid at all costs.

“Meico City to Puebla and Cholulo”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 3, 2012

It's a long day, but a fast way to see Puebla and Cholulo highlights. Be prepared for 6 hours in the van and 4 hours on the ground. Mexitours runs a very professional operation and the driver/guide Humberto was excellent. Our Group of 5 contained an adult family of 4 from Costa Rica so much of the discussion was in Spanish. Fortunately I understand Spanish quite well so it worked. The guide is fully bilingual but saved time by not having to repeat everything in English.

If you don't have time for stay in Pueble, this is second best, as the city and area are historically very interesting. The cathedrl and churches visited are amazingly decorated and many from the 16th century. Gold was obviously readily available.
