“Overrated”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 3, 2013

We had high hopes and left with a poor impression. The service was rushed, not at all what you want or expect in a fine dining establishment. While there is a sense is whimsy and fun on the menu and in the presentation, the food is just not good enough, inspired or revelatory. There are so many better meals to be had in Mexico City - both high and low cuisine. Enjoy those and skip this.

“Excellent!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 29, 2013

I went to Dulce Patria based on its reviews on Trip Advisor and I was not disappointed!
We decided against the full tasting menu but the food was delicious (and small portions so you could try more courses). The Maitre D and the waiters were all very helpful and helped us to select the food and the wine to complement it.
A great experience, only marred by the woman on the next table, who complained about the "cheap" perfume my friend was wearing (which was far from cheap and not overpowering!). So my only negative comment would be that the tables are quite close together.

“Best food we had in Mexico”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2013

This is one of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at and I live in New York City. We had a group of 22 (!) people and the service was flawless. We started with delicious drinks - very unique and beautiful looking. We got 4 different salsas, and guacamole for the table. Then we had 4 appetizers served to each of us individually - elote, ceviche, seared ahi, pork egg roll. I had the pozole soup with seafood for my main entree - delicious! The deserts were also fantastic. Including drinks, tip, everything, it was $75 US per person. Steep for Mexico City, but compared to NYC, an absolute steal.

“Mexican cuisine at a high level”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 26, 2013

A beautifully modern interior is a great setting for modern interpretations of classic Mexican dishers. Service was good, and we sat upstairs, with a view of the neighborhood. Excellent cocktails, and food was good in flavor, and unusually artistic presentations.
