“Not The Best For Business Travel”
Reviewed February 2, 2014

I stayed here for two nights this past January. The Hotel is small B&B with a handful of rooms. The hotel is clean and neat and the staff was relatively friendly. The location is great and is in walking distance of many bars and restaurants.

My stay was comfortable, but this hotel lacks the amenities needed for a business travel. The internet was unreliable, the front desk staff were inexperienced and had difficulty scheduling a secure taxi, ironing boards are not included in the rooms, and lobby is not suitable for meeting.

If I came back to the area for vacation, I would consider staying here, but I would probably explore the other surrounding properties.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the second floor.

When in a city of more than 20 million, you can find a place of charm, peace and quiet, then more than luck, it just means you have found the perfect spot.

Starting by location, its perfect, around the corner or few blocks away from anything you might want or need (bakery, shops, restaurants, bars, art galleries, etc). As for design and decor is all sorts of lovely vintage details everywhere, the rooms are spacious and cozy, and the common areas are inviting. Breakfast was a delight, home made and flavor-full, with the highlight of Brian's smile and kind service. The staff in all areas was kind, attentive and at point.

It felt not like a hotel, more like staying at a friend's house for the weekend. Can't get any better, do not hesitate to book in this little gem.

Room Tip: Cozy rooms are a great deal in terms of price-quality, but Deluxe rooms are worth it after long walk...

This place has a lovely garden an outdoor restaurant to enjoy you breakfast. And nicely decorated rooms. It's a good escape from the busy Mexican metropolis. And the area is great. It's in the middle of Condesa, Zona Rosa and Roma with nice restaurants, bars and shops.

Villa Condesa is a carefully maintained renovated mansion on a lovely block in the hip Condesa/Roma neighborhoods. The hosts are warm, friendly, and super helpful in assisting you to experience the best of Mexico City. Also important, there is always someone around should you need any help.
There's a small restaurant on premises. Pedro, the young chef is talented. He put together a wonderful meal for us late one night right before closing.
A number of guests seemed to be repeat visitors and we will be, too.

Me and my partner stayed in this hotel during the last three nights of our Mexican trip. After many nights spent in several low budget hotel we took the decision to treat ourselves. It really central located and from there you can reach almost any interesting place in DF.
The service is simply amazing, any person working in this hotel seem to have a special care for any guest and all of them are extremely kind.
We just had a problem with our mattress ( which was completely damaged and uncomfortable ) but as soon as we notified anything to the receptionist it took only few moment to solve it.

This was our second visit to Mexico City and we actually made two short visits to this city within a couple of weeks from each other. Both times we stayed in the Condesa area, of which this was the second one. The other stay was at the Red Tree House (see separate review), which is a bit less luxury but also less pricey.

The Villa Condesa Hotel is very well run. The welcome was friendly and efficient. Service in general was good, friendly and professional. Rooms as well as all other areas were very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The only thing we couldn't figure out easily was how to operate the TV and the heating via the airco unit.

The quality of the breakfast itself was good with a nice cooked dish (changing everyday) combined with a choice of some other cold dishes and drinks. Portions could be a bit bigger though, and some items would be better to have as part of a buffet (pastries, drinks, cereals, fruits, etc). Also, the breakfast area was very cold in the morning, so we actually had to wear jackets during breakfast to feel comfortable. Gas heaters were present but did not warm the area sufficiently. This problem probably only applies to the winter months.

The (deluxe) room we stayed in was very comfortable.

We would consider staying here again when we return to the Condesa area in Mexico City, if we can get a room for a reasonable price. Overall, we felt that our stay at the Red Tree House (separate review) gave more value for money.

Roomy accommodations, outstanding breakfasts and lovely little patios make this hotel worth seeking out. Very stylish decor and helpful staff all located in a really safe and wonderful neighborhood. Easy to walk to many great shops and restaurants.
