My husband and I stayed for a collective 5 nights here during our recent trip to Mexico City. Let me tell you, this boutique hotel could not be better located to beautiful historical sights and experiences and the terrace view at breakfast cannot be beat. You’re greeted immediately with a choice of water, hibiscus tea, or tequila.
There were a lot of things we loved at this hotel — refrigerators with endless water bottles for guests, the showers (hello water pressure), and soft beds with good pillows. The staff could not be nicer or more solicitous.
The boutique hotel is meticulously decorated with Mexican crafts, flowers and plants, and books about Mexican artists, crafts, and history. It’s so cute!
There is only one odd thing that happened that I can’t help but mention. One night my husband and I were waiting for a taxi for dinner when we decided to flip through one of the countless coffee table books around the hotel. Within seconds, someone came over and told us the book was for display only and we needed to put it back. Seemed so odd to us why so many books would be on display and within reach if they were not meant to be read? This interaction felt out of character for the otherwise incredible hospitality.
We would HIGHLY recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again (especially now we know not to touch the books!)More
