The Palacio de Iturbide is owned by Banamex and has outstanding art exhibitions throughout the year. Admission is free and the Palacio is located just up the street from Sanborn's House of Tiles when heading toward the Zocalo. I live in Oaxaca, Mexico, and frequently visit Mexico City. The Palacio is always on my list to visit while in town and I have never been disappointed. There is a book and art shop in the Palacio that is small but very good. On a recent trip to Buenos Aires we visited a top museum there and the exhibit on loan from Banamex was the highlight of the visit. Their collection of Mexican art is huge and first class. Don't miss it! Photography is not allowed.
