“Beautiful Castle and interesting history”
Reviewed February 20, 2014

Walk up and enjoy the beautiful grounds.
Be sure to go to the second floor and see the gardens and balcony areas - perfectly manicured lawns, shrubs and flowers.
Very interesting peek into life back then - recreated rooms, clothing and personal items on display.
Nothing in English - FYI.

“Nice castle”
Reviewed February 20, 2014

This is a really lovely castle in a nice park setting just off the Reforma. The old living quarters of the castle are immaculately kept but you can't enter most of them with only walk by viewing only. However the rooms are grand and quite extensive. There are also nice gardens and great views of the city. I love the hilltop views and the entry road is quite steep...makes for a good training run if you are that way inclined. There is also a great little museum, displays and artwork within the castle along with a nice cafe and store. The only thing I don't like is the lack of information in English. No signage or audio facilities. This is common in Mexico which is quite amazing with over 300 million English speakers living next door. Apart from that allow yourself half a day for a visit. Well worth it. Ohh yes, its cheap, I don't remember exactly but you will get change from a 100 pesos.

“Nice attraction to See if only for views”
Reviewed February 18, 2014

This is a neat place to see. Open and free Tom Mexican citizens and residents on Sundays. However, tourists from other countries are still charged. I think it was 59 pesos.

The views from the top are beautiful and can see most of that side of the city and mountains. Some interesting ornate rooms to see, but the view was the main highlight for me.

You can walk up a hill to the castle or pay around 13 pesos to have a train take you to the top. I recommend the walk as the forest and landscape is beautiful.
