“beautiful castle!”
Reviewed March 26, 2013

this is one of the most important places to see. You do have to walk a lot to see this, there is a carriage that will take you up and down but there is a lot of people too so you have to wait awhile.. wear comfortable shoes, wear sunscreen and drink water before you go up the hill (they don't let you in with food or drinks)

“Well worth a visit!”
Reviewed March 23, 2013

This should be a first stop for any visit to Mexico City. Not only is it beautiful to stroll through the park and into the castle, the castle itself is chock full of interesting Mexican history.

“Be amazed by the building”
Reviewed March 22, 2013

This was a great part of my trip, the history behind the building, the construction. The views of the city and how you get transported to the lives of those who lived there. you can almost hear them walk the halls. it is very impressive and educational.

“A Castle Right in Mexico City”
Reviewed March 20, 2013

I love history and the ill-fated tale of Emperor Maximilian and Empress Carlotta of Austria is sad to relate. They loved Mexico but Mexico didn't love them. There is a lot more history to the Castle than them but they are who I focused on. In the late 1800s they made numerous changes to make it more livable. I loved their blue bedroom and I've added a photo of it. There are dramatic black and white tiles lining the corridors, beautiful stained-glass windows, murals by famous Mexican muralists, lovely roof-top gardens and history galore. Please don't miss this place and if you have a chance read up on history of Maximilian and Carlotta and you'll appreciate it more, especially when you see the ornate carriage that carried them around their adopted city. There is no entrance fee for Seniors.

“A Nice Medieval Castle in Mexico City”
Reviewed March 20, 2013

In the middle of Chapultepec Parque, it is very well kept medieval castle from Spaniards. I highly recommed to visit here.
