“Worth the visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2014 via mobile

Beautiful architecture and history. We even had someone who was a scholar and had written a book on the Cathedral give us free explanations of many of the sculptures and rooms in the cathedral. Incredible!

“Beautiful and stirring church”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2014

It is always so calming to get out of the bustle of the streets and just breath in and relax with the beauty of the history of this (and other) beautiful cathedral.

“Beautiful and historic ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2014 via mobile

The church was beautiful and I loved looking at all the items in the church. I was there to purchase some crosses for my grandmother who had passed away and I wanted to get her some of the crosses and to have them blessed. She had always wantes to visit mexico city and was never able to. I was satisfied with the purchase and the priest blessed them with holy water. Now one of the 7 I bought rests with my grandmother and the other six went to my aunt, father and my grandmother's 3 sisters and one for myself. I recommend making this a stop, historic and beautiful.

“View from my balcony”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2014

The Metropolitan Cathedral was the view from my balcony. I absolutely loved the carillons, the sounds of the bells were heavenly and they sounded day and night. The inside of the cathedral is very large with many of side altars. Outside there is lots of activity, native dances, indigenous people selling handmade goods, music, cleansings, food, and beverages. During December they project light shows on the Cathedral facade.
