“Very good place, expensive but still very good.”
Reviewed November 2, 2011

My wife and I stayed here for a few days of relax and visiting this great city. The place is a high rise tower with many business and convention facilities. Requested an upgrade and received a very spacious room. Staff is very courteous and professional and always wanted to help. Rooms, lobby and all areas are nice with everything you would expect in a grand hotel like this. If you come be prepared to receive very good service but also be prepared to pay over-the-usual prices for everything here. Internet access, water bottles, food in restaurants, cab fares and everything else is high priced. Hardly anything is free (meaning included) or reasonably priced. If you're looking for a budget hotel this is not the right place. Other than that, this is a very good place to stay.

Room Tip: Book a standard guest room and then request an upgrade thru www.hilton.com. Most likely you'll r...

Hotel is nice, located in a beautiful and safe area of MC, with lovely restaurant on the 6th floor, rooms are spacious but staff is unpleasant and inefficient. It took almost an hour to have a staff member coming to my room to simply open the minibar. My room was so terribly cold, and impossible to heat up. I asked to change, but they refused.

We stayed at the Hilton Reforma for 5 nights on our first trip to Mexico City in Sept 2011, and it was just fantastic, so fantastic that 2 weeks later we had a one night stopover again in Mexico City and we made sure we stayed there again. The staff absolutely bent over backwards to help us, were consistently friendly and courteous, and even sent up a complimentary cake to the room when they found out it was my birthday. The food was of a high standard, the rooms very comfortable and the location is ideal for a first time trip to Mexico City. It is right across from the park and within walking distance to the Zocalo and several museums. We had a room on the 22nd floor, and the views across Mexico City were just stunning. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for business or pleasure.

I stayed at this hotel a few nights on a business trip. While the hotel itself is pretty nice and is in a very nice part of town, the service is sub-par.

After checking-out and being back home for a few days, I get a call from my credit card company saying the hotel charged me (not authorized) for about $5600. I immediately called the hotel and Hilton HHonors to dispute the charge. It took me about 3 hours of attempting to contact the hotel before finally getting some "help". It turned out they made a mistake and passed an initial authorization through as a charge. It's safe to say I won't be staying at this hotel again.

Location is great for this hotel: in front of Alameda Park, close to "Palacio de Bellas Artes" and close to the Zocalo and the historic part of the city. Also close to Reforma Avenue which is very nice too. The Lobby is a pleasant place to be. Rooms are nice with comfortable bed and pillows. Sunday brunch is good but not as good as I think it should be for this kind of hotel. Internet wifi conection is good as long you don't have more than 1 device to connect.

Room Tip: Take a room with view to the "Palacio de Bellas Artes"

It is a good hotel for business purposes. If you need to arrange some meetings or make an event it has excellent locations. Good gym. It is located in downtown near to Zocalo and Condesa Zone. At right side of the hotel there is a little commercial center where you can find food court, hairstyling salon, etc.

We spent 3 nights at the Hilton reforma and enjoyed the superb location and beautiful rooms. Generous buffet breakfast with choice of continental and Mexican food. In general this property lives up to Hilton standards. However, you have to pay extra for the sauna, even if fitness center access is included in room rate. Never experienced that before at a Hilton! E-concierge service does not work! We received several emails before, during and after our stay, telling us how much they care about Hilton club members. However, whatever we requested and was confirmed by the hotel manager didn't work! We had to talk to the reception staff several times, which was quite annoying (hotel manager was never reachable). Sometimes less is more: either provide what you promise or stop sending emails and letters.
