“not a good decision here in mexico city”
Reviewed December 20, 2013

this is quite possibly to worst hostel, other than the one in puerto escondido, that i have stayed in in mexico so far.inept staff other than the the owner and his next in charge.the interns if thats what you call them were inept and un-concerning to guests needs.and the beds were straight from the hanoi hilton.and the reception was directly above my room and on my LAST night there the party from the night that lasted til 4am .and nobody cared.AVOID this place.

Room Tip: avoid this hostel

Hostel 333 is located in a great area. Metro and some tourist attractions are in walking distance. There are plenty of bars and restaurants close by so you don't have to go far at night.

The rooms are clean and nice and the roof top is great to hang out and relax.

Perfect location, safe neighborhood, nice terrace, and best hostel to meet new people from all over the world.
Average breakfast, they do not clean the rooms everyday and the bathrooms are not my favorite.

I stayed here for a couple of nights. The room was quite cramped with no secure space to store luggage and belongings. The terrace is great though and the hostel sign is Charles Remnie Mackintosh type face, which is why I chose this hostel. A good a reason as any.

This is a good hostel for young people, or at least young at heart (because of the noise at night - the walls are thin). We had a private room, but I had a look at the dorms too, and they have a good hostel standard. The bathrooms are also basic, but clean and all you need.

The best part about this hostel is of course it's location in Roma/Condessa. I believe it is the best place to stay in Mexico City, and it felt very safe.
The staff are relaxed and helpful.
The 333 also have a nice roof-top terrasse, where you can buy water and beer.
Everything you need from a hostel, in other words.

A couple of nights at Hostel 333 and I'm happy to chosen so well. It is perfectly located in one of the best neighborhoods in Mexico City, people are really friendly and the shared rooms have around 6-8 beds, anyway, it is just a place to stay the night and everyone there knows it, place is safe and in order to get in you must ring the bell downstairs, oh that, 3 floors connected by a narrow flock of stairs, the terrace is great and breakfast included refers to toast, jam and coffee :)
I went there with my significant other, when we arrived to Mexico City we were just too tired to go out so we chilled out at the front-desk where they have a little living room and a fridge packed with beers, we drank a couple and watched a movie before going to sleep. Beds are comfortable enough, I'm a light sleeper and slept just fine. Bathrooms are rather small and crowded but generally clean. I charged my phone in the doormroon and at the lobby. Weather was cold but you couldn't feel it inside. My first hostel in Mexico City, can't recommend any other but as far as location, it is really worth it!

Room Tip: book in advance!

I lost my passport in another hostel in DF so I had to stay in the city for longer waiting for my replacement. I found hostel 333 when walking around Roma, I heard that area is better that downtown. This hostel is really nice, low price, warm and fun, the staff are extremely relaxed (in a good way) and friendly. They have a really nice terrace that makes you feel like you're not even in one of the largest cities in the world and the bar/restaurant is fun and really good spanish food (it would be better if it was mexican, but oh well). The locals gather at the bar as well for football matches and pool so you get to meet locals.
The only problem I see is that some of the showers weren't working all the time and some of the guests when I stayed were a bit noisy (this is not the hostel's fault, people are just rude) and last they have a cat, which for me is great and fantastic but some people may not like that.

Room Tip: I stayed in a brand new 6 bed dorm with bathroom ensuite it's really nice and comfy beds.
