“Relaxing and cool sums this place up!”
Reviewed October 23, 2012

Relaxing and cool sums this place up. Sort of like a little taste of Italy or maybe Spain, but in Mexico City. The music coming from the speakers was is a bit of flamenco and modern tango put together and the wine selection is amazing! The owner really ensured everything was planned all the way down to the smallest 't.' The food menu also helped pair the wines to your meals if needed. The staff were very friendly and my Girlfriend and I enjoyed sitting there for about 4 hours, sharing a few appetizers and drinking enough for us to want to go take a good siesta to get us going again. The neighborhood is great and after your meal, you can enjoy a great stroll of the nearby shops and scenery around.

“A different approach”
Reviewed April 26, 2012

Obviously is not very common find a Wine Bar in Mexico. The owner, Marcelo, is totally into wines and shows very good knowledge of the actual situation of Mexican Wine. The food is good and the place is very warm. Very adequate costs and a good list of foreign wines. Try it, you will not be dissapointed!

“A new concept about wine bars in Mexico”
Reviewed July 7, 2011

As a wine enthusiast I'm always looking for new places to go to. I go often to Mexico City for business and I believe I have visited almost all the restaurants or bars that call themselves “Wine Bars”. Until today I always thought that there were no real wine bars in Mexico City and there were more like expensive restaurants with a wide and expensive wine selection or an extensive wine list with nothing but names and prices. A lot of the times high prices for not necessarily good wines.
A colleague of mine took me to this unique place right in the heart of La Condesa; an very touristic area in Mexico City with a lot of restaurants, bars and stores. El Pecado de Noe (Noah’s Sin) offers wine tasting FOR FREE on Tuesdays. The wines are what they call “boutique wines”; wines from small vineyards that are hard to find but are really good and inexpensive. Wines from all over the world. Even Mexican wines that for me it was a surprise… turns out the one we tried was pretty good.
No wine list. All the wines are shown on a wine rack covering one of the walls. Every wine has the technical information showing the type of grape, region, wine pairings and price. So, you can’t get lost with what you want and what food you can enjoy with your selection. Is that simple!!
Finally I found a true wine bar with that unique Mexican touch. I highly recommend it especially on a Tuesday night! I’m definitely going back again!
