“Great Location, stylish interior.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2014

I stayed at the hotel for more than one week and I recommend it for its great location and its helpfull staff. I had to change rooms because my first bed gave me a backache. The people at the desk where very helpfull and we went through several rooms until i found the good one. A big thank you to them. Both rooms were nice and clean. The second one had a great view. The zona rosa is a great place to stay but because of the ambiance at night there was a lot of noise (discobars,..). Breakfast was not great but I guess I had worse in Mexico (maybe it's just me because i'm used to french bread and pâtisserie).

I stayed in this hotel on the way back home for one night. It is one block off Paseo de la Reforma and close to the Angel. Check in was good. We asked for two double beds and turned out to be one bed with two bedframes. The room was clean and comforatable. The bathroom door was a sliding type and I pinched my fingers while trying to close the door. The staff was courteous. We asked for directions to the basilica and they told me to take the bus. It was simple enough and cheap. We walked through they city and return at 11 pm to the hotel. The area was busting with a party scene (mostly gay). Unfortunately we did not have time to explore the area. The hotel arranged for airport transportation early in the morning. If you are looking to take the Metro Bus from the airport I saw one close to the hotel. I heard this is the cheapest way from the airport. The hotel does need some touch ups. The shower didnt look so clean and hte carpet was starting to show its age. Did not walked barefoot. FREE WIFI

Room Tip: high floors and away from elevator for quieter rooms

The room is large (#905) basic, very clean. The staff are so friendly and accommodating, welcoming and genuine. Included breakfast for all types from eggs and beans to yogurt, bran and fresh fruit plus coffee, tea and juice. If you need a corkscrew or an iron, the staff are ready to assist. My room had a great view, lots of tv choices, strong wifi, and generous bathroom. This must be the best value in Zona Rosa for a delightful, modern room. I would definitely come back. Muchas gracias a todos los empleados

Stayed 2 nights and really picked a good one when I booked this hotel. Zona Rosa is safe and vibrant. It is also a gay area. Loads of vehicular police presence, but I never felt threatened at all. The hotel is funky and clean, and the front desk team is very very helpful. The breakfast was great! Would re-book in an instant.

We loved our stay in the Valentina, a boutique hotel with chic modern design in the Zona Rosa. It had all the amenities you'd expect; good breakfast, bilingual staff, comfortable beds, great location close to Metro and nightlife. But it also has something rare in an affordable hotel; a distinct and unique design. The only downsides: a bit of wear and tear beginning to show, and a distinct bad odor from the hallway which doesn't get the light or air circulation needed to clear it up. But all in all, the Valentina was worth every penny. Believe the photos; this is a great-looking place to stay with terrific service and a fun vibe.

Room Tip: The higher floors are quieter, less street noise. And we unplugged our room fridge for better sleep.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2014

I have been lucky enough to be able to do some travelling in several countries. It is very rare to experience this level of customer service. The hotel is centrally located in Zona Rosa "gay district" of Mexico City. Its is walking distance to more than enough night life and activity. I originally was only booked to stay 4 nights. My first room 901 was a bit small for my taste, but that was immediately remedied by the amazing reception staff and for a minimal fee, I was upgraded to the Pent House suite (1302) seen in the above photo. What an amazing suite!! A large bedroom with flat screen, a separate TV area, and dining room area. Two sliding glass doors opening to a walk on terrace with amazing view of the city. One and 1/2 baths. The master bath has 2 full lighted sinks. Comfortable pillows and mattresses. Double shower heads, and a separate glass enclosed toilet/boudet area. I moved a few times, to other rooms since I had not fully booked for the full two weeks, and each room was more amazing than the next. My second favorite room was 905 which was a corner room with corner windows overlooking the amazing angel monument again with amazing bathroom area and glass enclosed shower.

Now let me tell you about the staff excellence. Erika, Manuel, and Crees were absolutely fabulous. I can tell you that when I travel alone, and feel like the staff is a part of family, that really says something. Not just that they did their jobs, but that they were kind, funny, professional, and really went out of their way to make sure that I had a great experience in their country, all of which fully versed in spanish and english. The beautiful manager Cecilia Alvarez has done an amazing job at this property, especially in her selection of these amazing employees.

The looks of the hotel is extremely cute with colorful flare. The included breakfast buffet is delicious with a variety of typical Mexican food, fresh yogurts, fruits, meats, coffee, juices, toast, and pastries.

The price which I had booked on Kayak was incredible for that area as I certainly did a lot of comparison shopping.

If you do not at least stop by and check out this hotel at least one night, you would be missing a great experience.

Thanks to all the valentina staff for helping to make my vacation truly a wonderful experience. This hotel was the icing on the cake. I will be back and I will stay in touch with my new friends, especially the fabulous Erika, "Mi esposa" who I would marry if I wasnt gay :)

Room Tip: The higher up you go the better it is :) The street can be noisy at times.
