This palace is amazing. You need at least 3h to see everything. I recommend a guide because there is interesting stories about murals. It is free for students with ID.

The building has a beautiful Art Deco architecture, all in marble. Inside you can admire some of the extraordinary murals of Rivera, Siqueiros, Orozco, and other important Mexican painters of the 20th century. The Building has different rooms with temporary art exhibitions, concert halls, and a big theater. If you can devote a night to attend a concert or a Mexican ballet show in the theater, you will be able to see the spectacular curtain made of stained glass by the Tiffany House. Visiting this palace is a must if you are visiting Mexico City.

This Palace is such a beautiful piece of art. Build in 1934 with Italian mármol this building looks great and elegant. This is one the best theater in the world for opera concerts, maybe because of the acoustic? Confortable views? Love this Palace.

This is a theatre that offers the opportunity to get close and personal with the most outstanding murals of Sequeiro and Diego Rivera, which reflect or depict the history of Mexico as a society that has suffered since the era of the Conquistadors up to modern times. They make us think carefully about the ideology that lays behind them all but most impressive is the mastery of the mural techniques and how well preserved these masterpieces are found today. Also, for those looking to experience the typical Mexican music, concerts are offered every night, and the splendid and beauty if the Main Salle will leave everybody speechless.

Went with a tour guide, not sure I would have gotten as much out of the paintings if I hadn't. Outside building is Beaux Arts and inside Art Deco, great details. Tour guide said the first project manager was not Mexican so after he died the one who took over put Mexican faces and Aztec touches to the outside.
