Owner description: This historic white marble building serves as both the city's top performance hall and an art museum.

It is known as the Palacio de Bellas Artes, it has a theater for performances. The main atraction could be it's Tiffany Glass curtain. But for me it were their Art Deco Interiors with all the pre-columbian motifs developed in the deco style. Usually the guides will tell you the building exterior is in the nouveau style movement, but quiet honestly is in the Beaux Arts Movement!

The artwork within is beautiful. A private guide explained the history behind each piece and we found the whole experience very moving.

This is a very nice building - but really ends up being quite a quick visit - plan on spending more time in many of the free museums and just a little it of time here.

I had the chance to see the Ballet Folkloric of Mexico at the Bellas Artes Palacio and I enjoyed my experience very much. Staff were friendly and they were happy to change my seat from the top floor (vertigo problems) to the main floor... I would suggest you buy your tickets a day or two in advance as the place gets crowded before the functions. In the afternoons you can see a lot of people seating and socializing outside the palacio of Bellas Artes. This place is a must in Mexico DF.

You can see it with an organized visit, it´s free, everyday at 12:00 there is someone to talk about the paintings and at 13:00 and 13:00 you can see the theatre with its famous courtain. Recommended!
