There are several self-guided walking tours of the Centro Historico online, we highly recommend just following one. The architecture is beautiful and there are so many little cafes and bars along the way, and classic spots like Cafe Tacuba or Cafe Opera of course.

A great walk. Explore endless architecture. People watch from the roof top bar at Hotel Mexico. Beautiful city.

Mexico city is an extraordinary place - it has so much to see. The Centro Historico combines old colonial cathedral, churches and palaces with excavated Aztec temples.

Lots of people, huge cathedrals, street vendors, Aztec ruins, indian dances, and lots of fun on a sunny, hot Mexican day!

Walk the whole Historic Center. It is safe and fun. The Zocalo is where so much "people" stuff happens. Be sure to walk from the Zocalo up the pedestrian walk to the Bellas Artes. And all in between.
