This is a great little hotel in Colonia Roma. It seems family run and everyone in the staff is attentive and relaxed.
Rooms are tasteful, elegant and unpretentious, and the entire hotel is filled with great art on the walls, and curiosities everywhere. Its obvious that the owners care for their hotel as if it were their home, since It probably once was.
The bed was a tiny bit stiff and the pillows could have been better. Only 3 pillows for a king size bed seems a bit stingy, and the bedding could use an upgrade. They apparently had some problems with water, and this made you have to wait for about five minutes for hot water to start running- this could be a problem if you are in a rush, but since we were there on vacation it wasn´t that big a deal. Other than these minor details, we would definitely rate this as a great hotel. With all its small flaws, it is still endearing and charismatic. We actually went walking around the hallways to appreciate the art.La Casona A refreshing change from the overbranded boutique hotels that are so popular in Mexico City right now.More
