“5.5 Hours and We Barely Scratched the Surface”
Reviewed October 7, 2012

We went early-arriving about 10 am-this was good since it was Sunday and there were many folks at the museum because it's free for Mexicans on Sundays. Awesome experience. We loved it all and managed to see all of the rooms but we feel like we could go back 100's of times. Don't miss the second floor rooms-seeing how each cultural group lived/lives is fascinating and the dioramas bring history to life. Nothing like 5000 years of history to make one you both incredibility small yet at the same time part of an amazing lineage. It's a must see for Mexico City.

Beautifully presented antiquities - the scale of the rooms was fantastic and respectful to the amazing pieces from the ancient Mexican cultures.

“Great place for culture and history!”

Lot to see and do! Take your time and learn from all the areas of culture and history. The water monument is phenomenal! Lots of stalls of food and drink available opposite the road! Must go!

“Fantastic displays of ancient civilizations”
Reviewed October 3, 2012

The most fantastic displays of ancient civilizations found in Mexico. Plan to spend at least 4 hours here. Not to be missed are the Mexica, the Culturas de la Costa del Golfo and the Maya Halls...these are the best in my opinion.
