“Very Basic, but really all you need.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2011

This hotel is in an allyway behind Pizza Hut and El Cardenal. Its very basic, the rooms are not very big but clean and there was house keeping every day. If you do not intend to spend your day in the hotel this is perfect, its right near the zocalo and for the price you really can't ask for more in an expensive city like Mexico City.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2009

Unprepossessing location and decor in an L-shaped alley just off the main drag, so no views, but the peace and quiet more than compensates. All the more appreciated as this is bang in the middle of the centro historico only 2 minutes walk from the Zocalo.
Room was small and on the spartan side, but clean and comfortable with TV and en suite bathroom/WC. You might want to ask for an extra blanket in January. Staff were very helpful and friendly with some English offered when my Spanish eventually ran out.
Excellent value at $220 (£11) per night, (no breakfast included).

4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2006

We stayed at the Hotel San Antonio for three nights. The view was nice (we were upstairs) and we could park our vehicle in secured parking which was a stress reliever! There was a guard who walked the grounds (and inspected the vehicle lot) to make sure no funny business was going on. The hotel managers were great. I can't remember his name...but he was very friendly and helped let us know who wasn't good company. Ha Ha! The motel was more expensive than I expected for a border town in Mexico...but it is a tourist town after all ! The room was airconditioned which is a major plus for Mexico in June! And the best part! WE could safely walk to all of the shops, Ma Crosbys, and Corona Club! It is within walking distance from pretty much anything you want to do! Will definitely return!!!

  • Liked — Friendly staff, air conditioned, clean room with a balcony, safe parking
  • Disliked — no swimming pool...but really i don't think i wanted to swim in the water anyway.....ha ha
  • Tips/Secrets — stay with your group, especially at night....pay attention to whats around you, and never ever pay what they are asking at the stores, they will haggle prices with you
