“An amazing show”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 30, 2013

It appears that this show is given on a regular basis on Sunday morning and Wednesdays evening and that the dances are regulary changed. On the show we went (March 2013) had the best expression of Mexican folklore.

We went for 1st rank tickets which were worth every peso as we had an spectacular view.

“Totally fabuloso”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 28, 2013

It's hard to imagine anyone leaving a Ballet Folklorico performance without a smile and spring to their step. This has to be one of the happiest, funnest shows around. I've seen them perform 3 times at least in my life and each time they just get better, my happiness at seeing them bigger. If you can, do see it at the Palacios de Bellas Artes in MC, DF. The crystal curtain that fronts the stage before the performance is worth it all by itself. It's a gorgeous depiction of the two volcanos near MC and you see them as the sun rises about 10 minutes before curtain time right through to sunset. Plan to come early to the show to see the curtain!

As well it's really, really fun to see the performance in this nationalistic venue. The pride of its people is so very palpable. It's so much fun!!

One last hint -- the staging of the dances is incredibly important so for this show sitting in the first balcony is almost better than down on the floor. Tickets are so expensive, this little savings is nice to know about. IMO the best seats are center, first balcony.

“A Good Mexican Feel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 27, 2013

We attended on my husband's birthday and he thoroughly enjoyed it. You get a small taste of the different dances of some of the regions in Mexico. We were on the top floor and we missed some of what was going on at the back of the stage. I would think the best seats are in the middle because you can see the back, but you can also see the different colours fo the outfits from the top. Great show!

“One Of The Best”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 13, 2013

This should not be missed if you appreciate dance. Two hours of non stop high intensity dancing by a fabulous troupe of young dancers. Vivid colors and melodious music go with it. One of the best dance shows anywhere.
