Owner description: The house where Leon Trotsky, the exiled Russian leader, lived the final three years of his life in the 1930s.
Reviewed February 3, 2013

We are Russians and this is a place we wanted to see for many years. It is the part of our hystory. The photos and documents are very interesting. The house was not changed since the murder of Leon ( Lev Davidovich) Trotsky. This museum is a must for everyone interested in hystory of first half of 20 century and Russian revolution particulary.

I grew up fascinated by Leon Trotsky so visiting this museum was a must on my visit to D.F. I was the only person there during my early Sunday visit so the house and grounds had an eerie, somber quality. Fitting for a house where one of the movers of Soviet history was murdered. If you're in the area, it's worth an hours worth of your time.

Simple yet fascinating museum. The whole house is kept as it was on the day Trotsky was murdered. We had a personalised guided tour in English that was really interesting and helped us understand how complicated things got during the Cold War. The experience was enjoyable for my 13 and 17 year old children as well as for me, a history teacher.

Nothing fancy or beautiful here, but very interesting. The entrance is not on Vienna, where you expect it to be -- it is on the other side of the block, on Churrubusco (sp?).
