The Dakota is lovely, spotlessly clean. Max is the perfect host, the breakfasts are outstanding. The Dakota is in the perfect start position to go see everything in Mexico City. It is a block from the metro-bus that runs in its own dedicated traffic lane the entire length of the city. It's a few blocks from a metro subway stop, and cabs are abundant, right at the front door. And yet, the Dakota's neighborhood has the feel of, say, Greenwich Village in NYC -- a place that is greener, quieter, where the pace is calmer and apart from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the city. Max gave us great sight-seeing advice, including recommending the cab ride trip south to Coyoacan to Frida Kahlo's Blue House -- now a museum. The Dakota was our home away from home -- highly recommended.
